make over for a room

if i could afford to have a designer come to my house and makeover one room it would definately be my bedroom. My bedroom is so boring looking! It currently has pale green walls (which is fine by me because i love green!) with this ugly flowery, grandma style border around the top cornices (NOT ok by me!). The blinds are a boring beige-ish sorta colour (half of them broken) and the carpet is nice but has a big glue stain!(who knows what the previous owners were glueing!) We have a nice wrought iron bed but our bedspread is from about 6 years ago and is a bit teenager-ish. The only other thing in the room is our wardrobe (old and ugly), a hand-me-down set of draws and a bedside table that dont match. sounds lovely doesnt it!

i would love for one of those romantic style bedrooms, with lots of candles and a comfy chair for reading in. Some pretty photos or artwork on the walls. A new wardrobe that doesnt look like it belongs in the 80's. I like our 34cm tv for curling up in bed on the weekends and watching dvds but id like some sort of gadget thing where it could be hidden from view when werent using it. Dont think Jira would be too keen on any of this, though if i did it gradually he probably wouldnt even notice! lol

I like the sounds of your "new" bedroom, just keep thinking about it and do a little bit by little bit-you'll get there!

That's how I was going to do our bedroom, step by step, then Pan got involved and we bought a new bed. Suddenly the room was painted, a new floor put in and a hdtv on the wall. Still have to get bedside tables and put in shelving though. Good luck with yours. You may find that once you start though, Jira may pitch in.

Funny how you put that in about noticing! I mentioned something about my hubby noticing too but I wanted him to notice!
