he likes to cuddle small babies as well.

This is Adam.

And Neal.

Adam on the left.

Neal on the right.

They are ambassadors for gay waterskiing.

Not really.

And they would be most unhappy if they knew i just wrote that.

But they dont read my blog. So its ok.

In reality, they both play on Jiras soccer team. And Adam is going to be one of Jiras groomsmen at our wedding in September.

So we were at a party on Saturday night. Its an annual traddition with Jiras soccer team that they all get together on FA cup night, cook meat, drink alot, and then scream at a tv screen until some ungodly hour. Like 3am.

One year we had it at our place. I left at 11pm and spent the night at my mums. Its just that i dont like being deafened by 25 drunk and rowdy men camped out in my living room.

Adam, like most of the guys on Jiras soccer team, is a real blokey bloke. Total westie, likes a drink and a footy game. Very typically aussie. Anyway, turns out Adam was in a bit of a chatty mood on Saturday. He came over and sat down next to me, looked at me all serious and said

"Lani, Im totally honoured. Ay" .

"What about Adam?"

" I am totally honoured that Shorty wants me to be his groomsman. Like totally stoked"

"Yea? thats great Ad. Im really glad. It means alot to him"

"No but Lani, it was so outta the blue. Like we were just running around at soccer and shorty asked me what i was doing on the 12 th of September. And i said "how the f#*k would i know?"

(i got the giggles at that)

"So then he said, im getting married that day, do you want to be one of my groomsmen? And do you know what i did?"

"No Ad, what did you do?"

"I just jumped on him and gave him the biggest cuddle (no word of a lie - he said cuddle - i couldnt hold the laugh in). And do you know what else? I had a tear in me eye. A little tear, i was just so happy. Means so much to me"

And you know, i stopped laughing then, and almost cried myself. How sweet is that? I gotta say i think it takes a real man to admit something like that. And not only admit it, but to be proud of it and be willing to tell people about it.

and yea, he was drunk, but i choose to overlook that.

That is a sweet story. The ones that act all hard and crusty on the outside usually have the squishiest centers.
