Going back to school

What would i do if i could go back to school? For enjoyment purposes i would do photography. i really love all the ins and outs of taking photos and making them creative. Maybe doing that would have led to a better job! (not that i dont think being a studio manager of a childrens photography studio is a bad job but the pay is terrible!) The other thing i probably would have liked to have done was some form of childrens services. Everyone told me when i was younger how good i am with kids, but i wouldnt listen. i had my heart set on becoming a social worker and moving to some remote village in god know where and helping all the people. sounds noble but was really just an excuse to escape, as for some reason i had convinced myself that i would never find a man who would love me and want to raise a family with me so i told myself that i didnt want those things either! so stupid for an 18 year old to think like that but i did! by the way i lasted about a month before i threw in the social work course and got a job! but going back to the topic i still think i would be good in a childrens service role - even if it was running a childcare centre from my house when my (currently not even conceived) children are young...

Welcome to blogging! When/if you have kids, you'll be in the children's services industry FOREVER!

Being a teacher, I can tell you there is always opportunities to get into children's services. When my husband and I moved to Virginia and I was pregnant with my son, I missed teaching so I volunteered at the local elementary school. They were happy to have anyone who could tutor the kids that were struggling and I got to fill both my need and theirs. So maybe that's an avenue you would like to start down to get your feet wet. And welcome to the blogging community.
